(Own Corresponclent.l M.T.S. Mr Wilson devoted half-an-hour to marapultatirig- magic lantern slides, which brought the programme to a close. • | Mr Lilley, senr., duly thanked Mrs! Hodge for arranging the evening, also those persons outside the M.I. S. for their kind assistance. A SOCIAL DIFFERENCE. .For some time past there has been some misunderstanding ro social matters between our two districts, viz., Purua am' 1 Ruatangata. Now for | our mutual benefit we want to ar-' range social matters something lik<e | as follows: —Purua and Ruatangatai to aecide to hold entertainments al-j temately, month about, for the en-; suing years. Should either of the districts wish to forfeit their month this would not entitle them to I i usurp their neighbour's month as ar-j ranged. And further, it would be the Guty of the Secretary so forfeiting to inform the other Committeeof their intention of not hold ng an! entertainment, so that that district could arrange for an entertainment if it so desired, raid still he ent tied; to its month in turn. JACK FROST. ! We have just experienced a nasty squally week from the south-west:rly direction, ending up with a sharp frost or two. Now is the time for Jack to come along for he -does an immense amount of good, and there is very little to harm. I-f it were, early spring the potato growers would not look with such a kindly eye upon him, for he is Tiext> door to the dreaded blight with his caresses. j RUATANGATA TROOP. j Our boys have , returned from camp' in splendid spirits, and. ;re loud in the praises of the officers in charge.! The. Lverrii.o are especially satisfied,! and think it no hardship, but practically a holiday. Five of them, with the two Messrs McGeo, had tlu-j honour of leading, the list for the 1 tidiest kept tent, which speaks well j for them. ; That hard recking cough at night ] can 'be wonderfully relieved with a ] few drops of Nazol on a piece of loaf \ sugar, and allowed to dissolve very 1 slowly between the cheek and gums, ] and repeated frequently. i
