TO THE ELECTORS. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN— I take'this opportunity of intro* during myself to those, of '.the Elector* who do not know mc and my political views.- ■ - '••■ .' ■■'•' ; I have resided in New Zealand for fifty-one • years,- and have been actively engaged in commercial life for' oveV forty years, during which time I was with a largo mercantile business in a responsible position, and having the control of a large staff. I have always'taken an active interest in public life, havingheld LIBERAL VIEWS and recognising the statesmanlike qualities.of Sir Joseph Ward. I am in deep sympathy with the aime, of the workers and the improvement of their conditions of life. I am opposed to the Bible; in schools , , as I consider the whole question of religious instruction is one for the attention of parents and clergy. I am in favour of the Licensing question being settled on its present basis, as the desired object will, npfc be obtained by coercion, but toy edu? cation and example, and.l am strongly in favour of better regulations, for strict analyses and thorough inspee-, tion. As occasion offers,,!'hope to give fuller expressions to my ■; views in various centres of the Electorate. Yours faithfully, ' H. 0. TEWSIrET;,
