Patriotic Shop

The first three days of last week at the Patriotic Shop were taken by the Post and Telegraph League, the convener being Mrs. F. Prain. Their receipts were £46 7s. Articles for competition were donated by members as follow: Groceries, half a dozen cups, tin biscuits, 51b. box chocolates and cushion, half a dozen hand-worked handkerchiefs, Mrs. F. Prain. The Co-operative Ladies* Guild took the latter half of the week and added to the takings the sum of £47 19s 7d, making a total for the week, £94 6s 7d. The convener was Mrs. L. Bennett. Articles for competition wore bag coal and garden spade from members. St. Patrick’s Parish Guild has the shop for this week and the visitor for the Shop Committee is Mrs. S. J. Parkes.
