Southern Cross Star For Churchill?
Received Thursday 8.46 pjn. SYDNEY, May t.
A suggestion that in recognition of Mr. Churchill’s inspiration to the Empire consideration should be given by the Australian and New Zealand Governments to the presentation of a special decoration to be known as the
“Southern Cross Star,” has been made by Mr. H. C. Jones, president of the New Zealand Association (New South Wales). It would be a great occasion for the Commonwealth and the Dominion, added Mr. Jones, if Mr.‘ Churchill could visit the Pacific to receive such an award.
