(From Our Own Correspondent.) The spacious drawing room in the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Bond was the scene of a happy 500 evening organised by Mrs. J. N. Lucas, tho party -being a “surprise" affair. Among tho guests were Mrs. A. Stuart and her daughter Beth, of The results of the cards were as follow; Ladies, Mrs. Fenton 1, Mrs. Lucas 2; men, Mr. Bond and Mr. L. Okc. Thanks were extended to Mr. and Mrs. Bond for their hospitality by Mrs. J. Lucas, who presented her with a bouquet of spring flowers. Mr. and Mrs. N. Taylor and family, who have been the guests of Mrs. 'Baylor’s grandmother, Mrs, J. Oke, have returned home. Mrs. A. Btuart and her daughter Beth (Greytown) have returned home after spending a holiday as tho guests of Mrs. T. Stuart. Mr. and Mrs. T. K. Hay, of Te Kawa, Waikato, are paying a short visit to Feilding. Mr. Hay was formerly borough engineer in Feilding.
