Carriage of Racehorses on Trains
WELLINGTON, Sept. 5. The Minister of Railways (Hon. R. Semple) stated to-night that in view of seasonal fluctuations in goods traffic the carriage of racohorses at the convenience of the Department would be permitted on trains other than expresses and passenger trains from September 30 to November 30. The position would be reviewed after the latter date.
