Feilding’s Maternity Hospital

The delay in proceeding with the erection of Feilding’s Maternity Hospital has been represented to the Department of Health, according to Mr. V. E. Smith, Feilding’s representative on. the Palmerston North Hospital Board. When asked as to the position Mr. {Smith stated that action had been taken to stress the urgency of the building and in this respect there had been strong backing by resident medical practitioners while members of the board had alsQ contributed towards stressing the importance of approving of the plans to enable the work to proceed. It is understood that the Health Department and the Minister have been interviewed and that the prospects of the work going ahead earlier than anticipated are now brighter.
