AWAPUNI’S THENTHAM CONTINGENT. The Awapuni horses engaged at Trentham to-morrow are Vitement (Highweight). Screen (Plunket Nursery), Gladynev and Happy Ending (Autumn Handicap), Theolateral, Sea Quox, Lady Spiral, Damask, Te Awe Awe, Irish Fox, and Quick Decision (Tinakori Handicap), Rink and Hippodrome (Thompson). Caroline Bay and Hippodrome (Railway Handicap), Alchemy and Moderate (Champion Hack Handicap); PALFREY AND LANGUE d’OR. Palfrey and Langue d’Or were scratched for their Trentham engagements on Wednesday. The Autumn Handicap field has now been reduced to seven. JOCKEY’S PREMIERSHIP. With two wins at Stratford on Saturday W. J. Broughton drew level with W. F. Ellis, who failed to ride a winner at Gore. Ellis rode Royal Chorus, beaten a head by Strip in the Gore Racing Club Handicap, and Sailor's Pal, beaten by Riding Home in the Trial Handicap. ADDITIONAL ACCEPTORS. Foxbrae (8.3), Killeymoon (8.1) and Manpower (8.0) were omitted from the, telegraphed list of acceptors for the Tinakori Handicap at Trentham. RIDER FOR HIPPODROME. A*. Sellars has been engaged to ride Hippodrome at Trentham to-morrow. Other engagements for Sellars will probably include Pay Roll, Moderate, Happy Ending and Te Awe Awe. GOING TO TRENTHAM TO-DAY. Horses from the stables of E. W. Watson, J. JJ. Waller, C. Thomson, B. Burgess and Mrs. A. W. McDonald leave for Trentham to-day. They are Hippodrome. Irish Fox, Lady Spiral, Sea Quex, Pay Roll, Happy Ending, Te Awe Awe, Moderate, Theolateral and Alchemy. TWO HORSES DESTROYED The smash in the Tuakau Stakes at the Franklin meeting at Te Rapa on Saturday has now resulted in the destruction of Not Guilty, a gelding by Solicitor-Gen-eral from Lucinda, which raced in the interests of Mrs. A. McGregor Grant, and was trained by R. S. Bagby at Ellers]ie. Mr. J. S. Kean’s Decathlon was also involved in the accident, but he was destroyed immediately after the mishap, as he had broken a leg.
