Germans Admit Evacuation Of Another Stronghold
Received Tuesday, 11.15 p.m. LONDON, Mar. 8. The German radio announces that the Germans evacuated Sychevka for previously prepared positions. The withdrawal was not the result of Russian pressure. A Moscow message states that the Red Army entering Rostov, found a motor repair-shop intact and a numboi of lorries undamaged bearing a note: ‘‘The Germans ordered us Slovaks to destroy this place, but we leave it as a present for the Red Army.”
The young couple was married and photographs were taken as the pair left . the church. The photographer promised to send proofs in a few days. Finally a large envelope arrived and was opened with much excitement. Inside were several studies of an infant with an accompanying note: “Please state clearly what size you want andhow many.* 7
