Feilding Stock Sale
N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co. Ltd. report on Feilding Wheel) Fair. — With the exception of fat sheep which were in short supply there was a heavy yarding in all sections. Bidding for stock ewes was erratic and except for top linos prices were hardly up to last week’s rates. There was again a strong demand for aged ewes for mating with Southdown rams and in this section realisations were fully firm on late rates. Forward lambs, both B.F. and white faces, met with keen competition. Backward sorts however hardly maintained last week’s rates. There was good competition for a short offering of fat sheep and values showed a firming tendency.
