German Retreat on Whole Central Position
Received Friday, 11.55 p.m. LONDON, Mar. 5. The Axis forces are retreating on the whole central Tunisian sector, reports the Algiers radio. The enemy is now launching only weak attacks. His losses have been enormous. In the Beja and Bouarada areas the enemy lost forty tanks. The Eighth Army’s artillery is relentlessly pounding the Mareth Line positions night and day.
