Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 5. A request that military officers be informed that in future tneir military servants’ duties be conhncd to military duties, was contained in a notice of question by Mr. Hodgens to the Acting Minister of Defence, in the House. Mr. Hodgens asked that officers residing in private houses away from military establishments, should be ialormed that their male servants must not be expected to mow lawns, attend to gardens, run messages, transport children to school, and to do general household choics ai the behest of officers’ wives, lie had had been informed of two cases in Palmerston North of officers living privately who had all thess services provided by the State through the agency of a male servant in uniiorm.
