Armed Forces Appeal Board
At a silling of the Palmerston North Armed Forces Appeal Board yesterday, the following decisions were reached:—
Adjourned sin© die:—The following were appeals by the Director National Service: I. E. Trevena, theological student; G. A. Hoskins, theological student; N. A. Hogg, theological student; R. F. Hann, theological student; R. C. Griffin, theological student; A. Mabberley, theological student; R. J. Farrar, theological student; T. R. Potts, theological student; R. Carlaw, theological student; A. T. Sparks, theological student; C. S. Adams, theological student'; A. G. Ratcliffe, ministerial probationer; C. H. Wells, student. Other sine die cases were:—A. G. Judge, minister of religion, appeal by Seventh Day Adventists; D. W. Print, dairy farmer, appeal by appellant; A. E. S. Hocking, branch manager, appeal by Agnew Refrigeration Ltd.; G. H. Dawick, secretary, appeal. by N.Z. Jersey Cattle Breeders’ Association on medical grading; W. A.. Le Bas, bacon worker, appeal by Kiwi Bacon Co. Ltd.; E. Wolfe, theological student, appeal by appellant. Other decisions were:—Appeals by Director of National Service lor F. W. Gifford, manual instructor, dismissed; H. V. Pascoe, gospel minister and teacher, dismissed; E. J. Barker, theological student, stood over for later fixture; W. O. Sharp, theological student, dismissed; R. J. Whitehead, dairy and sheep farmer, appeal by appellant, adjourned to June sittings, every endeavour to be made to replace himself; F. G. Scott, dental
surgeon, appeal by appellant, adjourned to May sittings; S. H. Wood, farm hand, G. R. Harrison, dairy farmer, and A. T. Vocasivich, bacon factory employee, appeals by the Director of National Service, all adjourned to May sittings; D. H. Funnell, farmer, adjourned to June, every endeavour to be made by reservist to replace himself.
