(From Our Own Correspondent.) Mrs. S. Wright, of Robinson Street, has received interesting mail from her son, Private S. G. Wright, who is serving with the Middle East Fdrces. Private Wright comments on the country in which they are now stationed and he sends his regards to all friends. The friends of Mrs. W. Ogden, of Thynne Street, will regret to learn that she is confined to bed. Mr. S. E. Cowley (chairman) presided over a meeting of the residents of Block 3. The balance-sheet in connection with the recent effort disclosed a credit of £IOB 12s. The secretary (Mrs. E. Ebbett) was accorded a vote of thanks. A presentation was made to Mr. Golder in appreciation of his efforts. At the annual meeting of All Saints’ Ladies’ Guild Rev. G. B. Stote-Blandy presided over a good attendance of members. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. G. B. StoteBlandy; secretary, Mrs. Roy Robinson; treasurer, Mrs. W. Trueman. Votes .of thanks were accorded Mrs. C. R. Robotham who, prior to her departure from Foxton, had filled the office of treasurer, the secretary (Mrs. Robinson) and the hon. auditor (Mr. E. W. Thane).
