Aokautere

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Aokautere Miniature Rifle Club last Wednesday held their ball, which proved a great success. After supper Mr. J. Smith, president, spoke on the activities of the club, and then called upon Mr. Linklater, who is patron of the club, to present the cups and trophies won during the season. The Monte Carlo was won by Mr. Clark and Miss L. Gough, Gay Gordons by Miss J. Carty and Mr. S. Meyers. The winners of the cups and trophies were: A grade championship, F. N. Andrews; B grade championship, R. F. Andrews; C grade championship, F. Mabbett; D grade championship, J. Heapy; most consistent shot* F. N. Andrews; match aggregate shot, F. N. Andrews; most improved shot, R. A. iSmith; Hargraves Bros.’ Cup, J. Atkinson; J. Smith trophy, R. F. Andrews; Collinson and Son trophy, J. Kilsby; S. J. Brookie junior handicap, R. A. Smith 1, C. Brookie 2.
