Japan Demands Apology
TOKIO, Aug. 5. The Dornei News Agency to-night said that Japan had demanded apologies and guarantees from Ecuador for her allaged anti-Japanese acts. Doraei explained that the demands had been made because of the false Ecuadorian allegations that Japanese troops were fighting with Peru iu the recent hostilities and because of the oppression of Japanese nationals in Ecuador, attacks on Japanese property, and the detention of Japanese ships.
