Kumeroa-Hopelands Young People’s Club

PATRIOTIC DANCES A meeting of the Kumeroa-Hopelands Young People’s Club held on Monday evening was largely attended, Mr. O. Miller presiding, with Miss J. Brown as secretary. The meeting was called to arrange a series of entertainments to be run for patriotic purposes, and it was decided to hold fortnightly dances as a means of augmenting the local patriotic purse. The first of the dances will be held next week, and an interesting feature of the evening will be the raffling of a mystery parcel. The second of the series will take the form of a fancy (iress dance. An offer by Miss Plent to provide a mystery parcel for raffling at this function was gratefully accepted.
