“Maid of the Mountains”

OPERATIC SOCIETY PRODUCTION The attention of those interested in tho operatic side of tho Palmerston North Operatic Society's activities is drawn to the notice appearing in this issue, calling the first rehearsal for the forthcoming production of tho wellknown musical comedy "The Alaid of the Alountains.” As this musical comedy lends plenty of scope for both principal and chorus work, it is hoped to have a full attendance, and as this year’s production will again be in the hands of Air. Stan Lawson and Aliss Rosetta Powell, with Air. C. Alowlem as musical director, those joining up will be assured of a most pleasant season, both from a musical and social point of view. The committee extends an invitation to all those interested to come along to this and other rehearsals and join the society. Many stars of the stage, both past and present, graduated from the ranks of tho amateur societies in New Zealand, and who knows this may be your opportunity, so do not let it slip by.
