The Civic Theatre was filled by a merry throng of some 190 couples, including a large "after wedding" party. A savoury supper was provided by an energetic committee under i Aliss E. Aloorc. During an interval -Mr. ?It. J. Moore, the newly-elected president, apologised for the absence of Air. E. B. Gordon, M.P., who was unable to be present on account of the opening of Parliament, also also of Air. and Airs. E. O. Bryce through indisposition. Mr. Aloore extended a welcome to all thse present and thanked the ladies for their assistance and the numerous donors for their support, all of which had been the means of making the function a successful and happy gathering.
