Feilding Agricultural High School
OLD PUPILS’ ASSOCIATION ANNUAL REPORT The old pupils of the Feilding Agricultural High School will meet in Feilding next week lor the school commemoration celebrations, and at the annual meeting of the association the following annual report will be submitted:— “In presenting the annual report the committee desires to report on tho association’s activities as follows: “The Wellington re-union was held this year on Saturday, June 25, and was again a happy affair. A change of venue of the re-union enabled dancing to be indulged in, and this provided the opportunity for more discussion and reminiscence. A good gathering of old pupils from the Kimbolton district and from Feilding attended the annual Kimbolton re-union. The address was given by Miss Enid Cleaver, a member of the association, on her trip to England. “On December 13 the committee were the guests of the school at a social—complimentary to Mr. P. G. Stevens. During the evening the president, iu makiug a presentation from tho association, congratulated Air. Stevens on his apimintment at Lincoln College and extended to him our best'-wishes for continued success. “On December 15, following the school concert, the committee entertained at supper those leaving school. The president, after outlining the activities of the association, expressed the hope that those leaving would continue their interest in the school and would not fail to become members of the Old Pupils’ Association. “On March 11 the committee entertained the boarders at a picnic at the Raumai bridge by utilising half the proceeds of last year’s concert. This is. an extension of the association’s activities and was instituted in response to the head’s appeal for more extensive hospitality to the boarders. It is hoped to make the picnic an annual outing. “The financial statement shows a satisfactory position. The financial membership as at December 31, 1938, was: Life members, 140; annual members, 190; total, 330. “So far as the attendance of old pupils at the Commemoration Day festivities at tho school next week is concerned, the occasion promises to be a record one. Just on 340 replies have been received from members intimating their intention to be present, and active steps are now being taken by the committee to accommodate them. Preparations for the annual ball and the concert are well in hand and both functions should prove successful.”
