Repetition of Port Kembla Trouble Foreseen

AUSTRALIAN LEAD SHIPPED TO JAPAN MELBOURNE, April 26. The secretary of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, Mr. C. Crofts, to-day sent a telegram of protest to the Prime Minister, Mr. R. G. M-enzies, against the shipping of silver lead concentrates from Mount Isa mines, Queensland, to Japan. He stated that the waterside workers at Townsville were loading concentrates under protest, and trouble similar to that at Port Kembla was likely to occur at any moment.
