Changeable But Improving Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A westerly depression passed last night and is being followed by a f-light secondary. An anti-cyclone is moving on to the western Tasman. Winds: North-west to westerly winds turning in most places to south-west or south; force mainly light to moderate, but freshening at times in exposed positions. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough to rough at times south of Cape Egmont and about Cook and Foveaux Straits; elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to fresh west to south-west winds. Seas rather rough to rough, but decreasing somewhat. Weather: Rather changeable in districts with a westerly aspect, with occasional showers, but improving. Mainly fair to fine in eastern districts, but a few isolated showers probable. Temperatures cooler. YESTERDAY’S WEATHER Auckland: Overcast, light wind. Hamilton: Overcast, light wind. New Plymouth: Cloudy, light wind. Gisborne: Overcast, light breeze. Napier: Overcast, calm.
