Overcast Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Pressure is still relatively high to the north, while a series of westerly depressions is crossing the south Tasman Sea and the South Island. Winds: Between north and west, moderate to strong generally and of gale force at times in Cook and Foveaux Straits. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough to rough south of Cape Egmont and about Cook and Foveaux Straits. Elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Winds between north-west and south-west, moderate in the northern portion, with moderate seas; strong in the southern portion, with rough seas. Weather: Cloudy to overcast in districts with a westerly aspect and the southern portion of the South Islnnd, with rain at times. Mainly fair in eastern districts, with scattered rains extending to parts of these also, more especially in the South Island. Temperatures moderate.
