Feilding Hockey Association

EXECUTIVE MEETS The executive committee of the Feilding Hockey Association met on Alonday evening, the president, Air P. G. Guy, being in the chair. Air T. L. Squire was appointed delegate to the New Zealand Men’s Hockey Association which meets on Thursday next at Christchurch. A letter from the Alanawatu association was received asking information about equipment. Correspondence from the Bush Union was received to the effect that as there were insufficient teams playing there, they were reluctantly compelled to wind up the club. They are at present the holders of the Harper Cup Shield, which trophies are to be returned to Feilding when all associations eligible to play for these will be advised and arrangements mado for their competition. It was decided to visit Alarton on Alay 10 to confer with the Rangitikei sub-association iri connection with hockey matters.

Preliminary arrangements for the King’s birthday tourney were made and present indications are that this annual tourney will be bigger than ever. Permission was granted the Swifts Club to play Broadway in a friendly match.

It was decided that; a meeting of players should be held at an early date with the object of forming more clubs.
