Feilding Cycling Club
COMMENCEMENT OF ROAD SEASON The committee of the Feilding Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club met on Monday evening, the president, Air. W. McPhail, being in the chair. Mr. T. Kelly, of Feilding, was appointed club handicapper. It was decided to commence the road cycling on the first Saturday in May, the first race to bo to Bunnythorpe and back, commencing at 2 p.m. The committee made a donation of £3 3s to the Feilding Cricket Association in appreciation of the use of Kowhai Park. The secretary was instructed to write to tho Feilding Harriers* Club extending the committee’s congratulation at its formation. Comment was made regarding tho success of H. C. Stewart, of Feilding, at Wanganui championship meetings held recently, the secretary being instructed to convey the committee’s congratulations to Air. Stewart at his success. The advisability of appointing a rider’s delegate to the committee was discussed, the handicapper being empowered to interview riders regarding a suitable nominee.
