Friends of Mrs. D. Davenport, of 3 Donnington Street, will bo pleased to learn that she is now recovering after a very serious illness.
A passenger to Sydney last week was Miss Ettie Rush, who lias been on a six weeks’ tour of the North Island. Miss Rush was a former resident of this city and was well known in musical circles.
Miss Elizabeth Russell, Dannevirke, is visiting Wellington to meet Miss J. Carpenter, of Sydney, who is to be ono of her bridesmaids when her marriage to Mr. R. Chambers takes place.
