The Dominion Auctioneering Company, Limited, Palmerston North, reports receiving a large entry of pigs at their sale held on Thursday and with a large attendance of buyers a total clearance was made. Porkers were in exceptionally good demand, best heavy sorts realising 45s 6d, 50s to 555, with light porkers from 36s to 40s. Weaners and stores were on a par with last week’s rates. A small increase in the price of poultry was noticeable, with a decided improvement in pullets. Quotations: Pigs: Heavy porkers 45s 6d, 50s to 555; light porkers 36s 6d, 38s, to 40s. ►Stores 25s to 32s 6d. Slips from 15s to 17s. Best weaners from 12s 6d to 15s. Medium weaners 10s to 11s. Small to backward weaners 5s to Bs.

Poultry: Best White Leghorn hens from 4s to 4s 6d per pair; best Black Orpington hens fr:»m 6s to 6s 6d per pair. Light hens from 2s 6d to 4s per pair. Heavy eockerels from 6s 6d to bs per pair; light cockerels from 2s to 5s per pair; pullets from 5s to 6s 9d each; docks from 4s to 7s per pair. Produce. —Apples: Gravensteins 7s 6d to 9s 6d a bushel, Cox Orange 7s to 10s 6d, Bibston Pippin 5s to 7s, cookers 6s to Bs. Peaches: Dessert 4s to 5s per case, cooking 2s 6d to 4s 6d. Plums: Dessert 3s to 5s per case, cooking Is 6d to 2s 6d. Nectarines 5s to 9s per case. Apricots 4s to 7s per case. Tomatoes: Outdoor 2s 6d to 4s per 1-case, hothouse 4d to 6d per lb.
