Twenty-five Arab leaders, representing forty-five villages and 70,000 Arabs, at a meeting in the home of I’urkhry Bey, told Reuter's correspondent that the behaviour of Britisn troops was exemplary and denied foreign allegations of British atrocitiesThey declared that Arab terrorists under the Mufti were guilty of acts of barbarism and they had killed more Arabs than those who had fallen fighting against the troops.
