Nine and a-lialf degrees of frost were recorded in Pahiatua yesterday morning at the local observatory by Mr. A. W. Hamilton. Mrs. R. J. Carruthers and her baby daughter left Pahiatua yesterday morning to embark on the Wanganella for Australia, where she will pay a visit to her parents. Mr. F. C. Johansen, who has been on relieving duty at the Eketahuna branch of the Bank of New Zealand, concluded his term yesterday and will resume at Pahiatua to-day.
