Victimisation on The Job at Pahiatua

At the Workers* Union meeting held on Tuesday evening it was reported that a complaint of victimisation was made in Pahiatua. Evidence on the subject showed that one man on the Public Works Department construction work in progress in Pahiatua had complained of victimisation in that statements were made that the men on the job had refused to work with him as he had a difference of political opinion. Evidence from the workers who were pn the job at tho time of the dispute went to show that the matter was more of a personal nature in that the man in question was “twitted** for “slacking** and that the complaint of victimisation was absolutely uncalled for. * After discussion on the subject and statements from tlfe foreman on the job it was shown that there was definitely no cause for complaint and the meeting definitely repudiated any such complaints.
