Dead Body Found Beside Car

MOTORIST’S GRUESOME DISCOVERY. (Special to ‘‘Times”). ROTORUA, Last Night. A motorist proceeding from Wbaka* tane to Rotorua this morning made the gruesome discovery of tho dead body of a man lying in the back of a stationary car, near the foot of Rotonia hill. The man had apparently been dead 24 hours. Tho motorist passed the car on the way from Whakatane to Rotorua earlier in the day and, noticing it still there on his return, decided to investigate. Papers in the pocket bear the name, Wm. Gibson, but there was no means of discovering his abode. A receipt for 17s for the hire of the car was in tho name of an Auckland rental firm.
