Elderly Man Found Injured on Street

WAS HE HIT-AND-RUN VICTIM? Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Whether Air. Charles Peters, aged 65, who now lies in the Christchurch hospital suffering from severe head injuries, was the victim of a hit-and-run motorist or whether he became suddenly indisposed and fell from his bicycle yet remains to be proved. Mr. Peters, who resides at No. 10 Alexandra street. Richmond, was found lying on the road way in Bealey avenue between Madras street and Barbadoes street intersections shortly before 9 o’clock on Saturday evening. At present rho indications are that Mr. Petors was knocked from his bicycle by a passing motor vehicle. His condition to day was serious.
