The matter of the finances of the Association is one that will have to be given careful consideration this year. During the year the president, Mr T. H. ‘Williams, lett the district and is now resident at Masterton. His loss to me district and your Association is one that cannot easily be replaced. 1 feel sure you Join witn me in wishing him every success in his new sphere of life. The club activities this year were marked by lack of enthusiasm and a general falling oft in patronage, which naturally affects our finances. The annual re-union proved a great success, which could have been even greater if all our members had answered the roll call. The annual ball, tnanks to the splendid work of the ladies committee, was voted as one of tho best held for a number of years. During the year representations were made to the Hannevirko Hospital Board by the Dannevlrko K.S.A. for certain privileges in respect of treatment of members. The board ageed to extend to financial members of the Association free areatment for any mem beer, his wile and family up to sixteen years of age, for the annual payment to the board of the sum of ill 10s. This agreement has also been extended to members of this Association, and the Hospital Board are to bo thanked for their generous action. The committee wishes to place on record its appreciation of the work done and assistance granted by the ladles' committee, and all other local organisations who have so readily helped on various occasions." officers for the ensuing year were e tec ted as follows: President: Mr I'. The president reported that the returns of poppy sales were not yet all in, but already last year’s sales had been exceeded. It was decide! that letters of thanks be written to the Women’s Institute, who had so kindly assisted with the sale of poppies. Gun Club. The Woodville Gun Club held its first shoot of the 1*37 season on Saturday afternoon when a muster of fourteen shooters were on the mark. Shooting conbeing cold with a gusty wind which at intervals played tricks with the birds. Tiic first match was one of twelve birds, being the first round for the Maekie and Isherwood cups, .ami produced somo good scores. F. D. Maekie, with a possible, took first money, while T. Wrigley,, A. P. Jensen, and R. G. Smith divided second money with 11 breaks each. Details are as follows:—F. D. Maekie 12. T. Wrigley 11. A. P. Jensen 11, R. G. Smith 11. M. iv ear ins 19, J. Horne 10, Roy Smith 10, J. Little 10, G. L. Harlridge 9. G. Morgan 9, S. Mclntosh 8. C. Maekie 7, A. Kamsden 6. The second event was a ten bird trophy match, open and novice classes, and again good scores were recorded. In the open i lass T. Wrigley, with a possible, won the first trophy, while M. Kearins and J. Horne each broke nine birds, the former winning the second trophy on the shootoff. In the novice class, A. Kamsden and Kory Smith each broke nine birds, and in a good shcot-off the latter prevailed at the 18th bird. The afternoon s sport was concluded with a Yankee shoot of ten birds, in which S. Mclntosh, with a possible. took first money, with R. G. Smith, M. Kearlns and C. Maekie each with nine breaks divided the second stake.
