Control of Manawatu And Oroua Rivers
MEETING OF BOARD. Tho monthly meeting of tho Alana-watu-Oroua River Board was held yesterday, when, in the absence of the chairman (Air. A. A. Alitchell) Air. B. G. Gower was elected to the chair. Also
present were: Messrs. H. Seifert, J. Callesen, T. D. Lynch, W. Jackson, H. J. Lancaster and R. J. Law. It was decided to apply for exemption from the provisions of any award made for local body affairs, on the ground that the board’s secretary is onTy a part-time officer. In future meetings will be held every second month, unless there is sufficient business to warrant the holding of a monthly meeting.
