MR. C. W. McCORKINDALE, OF

FEILDING Mr. C. W. McCorkindale, of the Feilding staff of the Bank of New Zealand who left last evening on transfer to ltaetihi, was the guest at two farewell gatherings on Tuesday evening. At tho close of business he was met by his fellow bank officers and presented with a leather suitcase as a token of esteem and goodwill, Mr. T. S. Goldsmith (manager) voicing the sentiments of the staff and wishing Mr. McCorkindale every success in his new position. Later in the evening Mr. McCorkindale was the guest at a social gathering arranged by the members of the Feilding Football Club, over which Mr. T. Collins (president) presided. A short toast list was honoured and that of the guest of the evening was handled by Air. Collins who spoke of the qualities of Mr. McCorkindale, whose services in the club team would be missed. He had pleasure in handing Air. McCorkindale a very nice travelling rug which, he trusted would ever remind the guest of his Rugby associates in Feilding. (Applause.) In accepting the gift Mr. McCorkindale said that he was sorry to leave Feilding and its Rugby associations and had'always enjoyed his games for tho old Yellows. At the close of this gathering Mr. AlcCorkindale entertained a number of his personal friends at his, home, the jollification terminating at a late hour.
