East Coast Sheep on Roads
\V HAK A TANK, Last Night. {Sheep from i’overty Bay and the East Coast aro on the road again in considerable numbers. Few sheep were sent by road during t’ue past few weeks, the object being to keep them off the main highways during the period of lieavv holiday traffic. A mob of 3000 passed through Whaltatane for the railhead at Taneatua at the week-end. It is stated that 90,000 sheep front tho East Coast will bo offered at the MorriusviJie stock sales early this year, and that about 10,000 sheep are at present on the road. FORTY SPECIAL TRAINS TAURANGA, Last Night. Approximately 40 special trains will be required to convey sheep from the East Coast iu January and February. The sheep will be consigned to Morrinsjville and the King Country,
