Pope’s Condition Disturbing
INTENSE PAIN AND HEART WEAKNESS. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 1 a.m. VATICAN CITY, Jan. 5. The Pope had a fair night and slept at intervals. The kidney specialist, Dr. Bonanome, was called in for consultation. The British United Press correspondent says the Pope had a troubled night with intense pain in both legs, also asthmatic difficulties. The Italian Press gives prominence of the bulletin as denoting the disturbing situation owing to the weakness of the Pontiff’s heart.
