Complaints Follow Holiday Traffic Rush
TAXI BUSINESS IN AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. Despite the tact that one Auckland taxi company have had 200 cars on the run for holiday traffic and another commanv have had 80, Auckland taxis at peak times are unable to cope with the volume of business olfering. The sequel has been complaints to the City Council of speeding and overcharging, which are now being investigated by the by-laws committee. It states that the majority of Auckland taxi drivers conducted their holi day business in accord with the bylaws regarding fares and speed. The taxi companies aver that their work was carried out strictly in accord with the by-laws.
