SERIOUS ASPECT OF CASE.
Per Press Association.
DUNEDIN, Last Night.
In the Police Court to-day Lloyd Thomas Sims was charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a car, with unlawfully converting a car to his own use and with being an unlicensed driver.
The police stated that the intoxication charge was only a borderline case but the conversion offence was serious as the CRr had been wrecked in an accident while being driven by accused and the owner would be unable to obtain any insurance. On the conversion charge accused was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment and on the intoxication charge was ordered to pay medical expenses (a guinea). On tho third charge he was convicted and discharged.
