Ladies' Committee of College Street School

A meeting of the College Street School Ladies’ Committee ■was held on Thursday evening last. There were present: Mesdames Whyte (chairman), Watehorn, Aitken, Christmas, Duckworth, Gush, fling, Mills, McLeod, Persson, Boss, Templeton, and Livingston (secretary.) The Christmas cake for competition was on exhibition. This was made and donated by Mrs. Christmas and iced by Mrs. D. Watson, the ingredients for icing being kindly douated by Mrs. W. Carruthers. A letter of thanks is to be forwarded to those ladies. A letter of invitation to their gala was received from the Hokowhitu School ladies’ committee. Arrangements for the College Street School gala day are well in hand. The various stalls, together with the baby show and jumble sale, should tend towards-a successful day. The committee then adjourned for a combined meeting.
