The motion to set up a committee to draft a new constitution for the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand was unanimously adopted at the annual meeting. Officers were elected at the annual conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce to-day as follows: —President, Mr. M. G. C. McCaul; vice-presi-dent-, Mr. A. G. Lunn; immediate past president, Mr. Norton Francis; South Island representatives on the executive, Messrs. C. B. Tapley (Invercargill), G. D. Yirtuo (South Canterbury), M. S. Myers (Duncdn), and V. E. Hamilton (Canterbury); North island representatives, Messrs. A. M. Seaman (Auckland), G. Eraser (Taranaki), and A. S. Burgess (Wanganui); Wellington members on the executive, Messrs. H. Anderson, F. 11. Bass, J. Halligan, D. «T. McGowan, J. C. Morrison, S. Paterson, and U. A. L. Treadwell. Mr. Francis was elected a vice-presi-dent of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of tho British Empire.
