Sealed Speed Governors For Motor Lorries
KAIRANGA COUNTY COUNCIL SUPPORTS PROPOSAL The Waipa County Council wrote to tho Ivairanga County Council yesterday soliciting co-operation in the matter of having tho Mote- Lorry Regulations amended, so as to make it compulsory for all heavy, motor vehicles used in tho transportation of goods to have sealed governors, the idea being that tho device would automatically restrict tho speed to the requirements of the regulations. “There is no harm in supporting the proposal,” commented Cr. J. Bat&helar. Cr. J. Smith: It is a sensible idea. 1 see motor lorries doing over 40 miles an hour, and I think they should be checked. It was decided to support the Waipa Council.
