Hairdressers Meet
CLOSING HOURS DISCUSSED. A meeting of hairdressers and tobacconists w , as held on Monday evening in co-operation with the Wellington Provincial Tobacconists' and Hairdressers’ Association, at which it was docided to raiso the saloon prices, in accordance with tho Wellington District Association, as from September 1 next. It was suggested that tho closing hour bo 5.30, half-an-hour later than tho local shops’ closing hour, which is anticipated will bo 5 p.m. on week nights. This was held over pending a local shopkeepers’ meeting. Both prices and hours will be advertised bofore September 1, from which dato they •will operate.
