PERSONALITIES
Mr. A. B. Lane, manager of the New Zealand Bress Association, and Mrs. Lane are paying a brief visit to l’aimerston North. Their daughter, Miss Sybil Lane, is a resident of this city. Victoria University College’s nominees for the 1937 New Zealand Kliodes scholarships are Messrs H. L. Baker, 8.A., and G. E. Wilson, M.A. The nominations were made yesterday by the College l’rofessorial Board. The death is cabled from Sydney ol Beverc-nd Bather l’iquet, who was a noted priest and member of the Maris:, order for 66 years. He was a foundation member of the Saint Vincent de Baui Society of New South Wales and was S 4 years of age.
