Nova Pilbeam is Hung!

Visitors to this years Eoyal Academy will notice a particularly fine miniature of Nova Pilbeam, the 16-year-old star of “Tudor Bose” in a prominent position in tho exhibition. This miniature s the work of Mr Bernard Owen, of Hove, Sussex. Mr Owen has suffered from paralysis from birth. Painting is the one work he is able to do, and he has made himself a master of this art. He has also painted a portrait of Nova which ho has presented to the young actress himself.' Nova’s charm finds much favour with artists. A delightful portrait of her in pastel, was recently exhibited by Honor Earle, daughter of Mr Justice Maugham, at a “one-woman show’’ she gavo recently. Portraits of Conrad .Veidt and Lidia Sherwood wero also included in this exhibition,
