At tho Canterbury Park races on Saturday the Woodville-trained Bengal Lancer mado a good showing in tho Juvenile Handicap, in which he finished a close second after getting a bad passago and making up a lot of leeway. Following is tho result:— JUVENILE HANDICAP, 6 furlongs. BULL ANT 5..5 (Knox) 1 Bengal Lancer 7.8 (O’Sullivan) .. 2 Dameitta 9.4 (Weiss) 3 Seventeen started, including We Threo and Prendergast. Won by half a length; a neck. Time, 1.15.

Headmaster was unplaced in the second division of the Flying Welter; Collstar was unplaced in the Canterbury Handicap; Lovesong unplaced in the Ashbury Handicap.
