New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on the clearing sale held at Oroua Downs on account of Air. 3. AV. Curran on Tuesday last. > There was a largo attendance of buyers, and the cows, which wero mostly Friesians, met with good competition, particularly those coming to profit early in the season. Horses, pigs and implements also mot with a ready market and were sold at very satisfactory | prices. We quote:—July and August calvers, £7, £7 10s, £B, £S 15s, £9, £!) 5s to £10; good later calvers, £3 15s, £4, £4 15s, £5, £5 10s to £0 10s; backward and three-quarter cows, £2 15s, £4; 2-ycar •heifers (springing), £5, £5 2s Gd, £5 10s; backward 2-ycar heifers, £2 10s, £2 17s Od; small wcaner heifers, 245; breeding sows, £2 14s, £3 15s to £4.
