Gathering o’ the Clans

An advertisement elsewhere in this issue reminds tho public to keep Wednesday evening, July 1, free. On this date the Manawatu Scottish Society is holding its fourth annual gathering o’ the clans in the Dc Luxe hall, and from the enthusiasm that is being displayed this event promises to be one of tho foremost social gatherings of the year. The committee is leaving no stone unturned to see that patrons are accorded a truly typical Scotch welcome and a good evening’s dancing and entertainment. Hammond’s popular orchestra which has been specially engaged for luc occasion will provide the dance music and this, combined with tho excellent floor of the spacious Do Luxe hall, will assure patrons of the very best of dancing conditions, while the selection of dances decided upon, will ensure an interesting and enjoyable programme.
