Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Niglit. An anti-cyclone lie 3 centrally over the Dominion to-day and an extensive depression which covers eastern Australia, is advancing on to the Tasman. Winds: Light to moderate and variable at first, but soon becoming northeasterly or northerly and gradually' freshening. Seas (New Zealand waters): Considerable but a decreasing southerly swell south of East Cape; otherwise slight to moderate but later rising in the far south.

Eastern Tasman: Light to moderate northerly winds, slight to moderate seas, but wind and sea later rising. Weather: Still fair to fine generally, but clouding over in western and far southern parts of the South Island with rain developing in those areas. Temperatures gradually becoming warmer.
