Norsewood Stock Sale

Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., ro port having held their fortnightly stock sale when they offered a good yarding of sheep, cuttle and pigs to tho usual attendance of buyers. Good breeding ewes maintained recent market rates, lambs and aged ewes being hard to quit. Cattle and pigs met with a ready market. They quote as follows: SS sound m. ewes, 19s Id; BE 4 and 5 yr. ewes, 21s; -17 ALA. ewes, 18s .'id; .18 AI.A. ewes, 18s (id; So aged ewes, 13s (id; 43 aged ewes, 8s lOd; 29 aged ewes, ■ 10s; 53 aged ewes, 13s lid; 39 small b.f. lambs, 13s; cull lambs, Os to 10s. 1 cow and calf, £5 7s; 1 springing heifer, £3; Jersey fat cows, £2 14s to £3 Ss; storo cows, £1 10s to £2 10s; good weancr pigs, 10s to 14s Od; small weancr pigs, 5s to 10s; 1 breeding sow, £4. The Hawke’s Hay Farmer’s Co-op. Association Ltd. reports upon the Norsewood sale held on Monday, 10th inst., as under:— We offered a largo yarding of sheep and cattle to a good attendance. A total clearance was effected at rates ruling with recent sales. Below is a list of prices realised:— Fat b.f. wethers, £1 2s 0d; fat ewes, 14s to 15s Od; Syr. ewes, £1 to £1 3s Od; 4 and Gth ewes, £1 4s Od to £1 5s Od; 0 and 0 yr. ewes, 17s Od to £1 is; s.m. owes, 11s Od to 15s; ewe lambs, 17s 4d to £1 4s Od; R. wether lambs, 14s lid to 17s Od; medium lambs, 9s to 12s 0dK.D. rams, 21 to 4 guineas; fat Jersey cows, £4 to £5 7s Od; store cows, £2 to £3 ss; bulls, £3 to £4 10s; weancr pigs, Ss to 10s.
